Football Trials Abroad

At Football Asia we have the expertise, connections and experience that make us second to none with regards to helping players start a football career in Asia. Our staff have over 15 years experience working in Asia organising sports events and over 10 years experience working in Asia in professional football. Our knowledge of football in this part of the world allows us to create the right environment that helps players wanting a career as a professional football player in Asia the greatest chance of achieving that goal. We know how to get football trials abroad for players wanting to break into a new market.

Our connections are very strong in Asia and we usually start by providing football trials in Thailand and Cambodia. Professional football in Thailand has grown massively over the last 8 years and Cambodia is the latest growing football league in this part of the world. We do not operate open football trials, or send players to clubs randomly. This type of football trial in Thailand has proved to be unsuccessful and costly to players over the years.

Players need some time to integrate into their new environment so we provide a 2 week training camp with football showcase trial games. The football showcase games in Thailand will be against professional teams who are looking to sign players. If you are not scouted through one of the showcase trials, we provide free football trials at professional football clubs in Thailand and Cambodia after the 2 week camp has finished. If you want to have the chance to sign a professional football contract in Asia, we can provide professional football trials in 2020 to enable you to start your new journey.

Facilities and Location

Our training camps are based at Kasembundit University, which is one of the biggest universities in Bangkok and situated just 30 minutes from the airport. In addition to the great facilities, the university is also host to a professional football club that play in T3. So the location not only acts as a great base but provides players with direct access to one of the most professional teams in the third tier of Thai football.

All facilities are onsite and include a Football Stadium, Football Training Pitch, Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, Accommodation, Dining Hall, Meeting Room and Bowling Hall. With everything we need onsite the logistical side of your experience is much easier as we manage to avoid the traffic in Bangkok’s busy city.

Success Stories

Ibrahim Dicko (Ivory Coast) signed BTU FC T3 2020 season

Ibrahim came to us in 2019 and we got him signed to Bangkok FC in T3. That season he was second top scorer in the whole of T3 with 15 goals so a number of T2 clubs came calling. We organised numerous trials for him before he made the decision to sign with BTU FC in T3, a very ambitious club under new ownership wanting to get promoted in the 2020 season.

Chaimongkol Botnok (Thailand) signed Sukhothai T1 2020 season

Chaimongkol Botnok (Neng) is a Thai native had been playing in the lower leagues of Thai football. He trained at our camp for two weeks and we improved a few things he needed to improve. The Head Coach of Sukhothai FC in T1 requested a central defender we had no hesitation in sending Neng who they signed after a one week trial.

Kim Seungha (Korea) Trial Phnom Penh Crown MCL 2020 season

For so many young Korean players, the path out of University football into the professional ranks in Korea is a difficult one. Kim Seungha joined our training camp and showed promise. We organised a trial for him at Phnom Penh Crown FC in Cambodia. He scored in one of the trial games but unfortunately was not offered a contract.

Hyeonjun Park (Korea) trial North Bangkok FC T3 2020 Season

Hyeonjun Park trained with us and showed a great attitude along with good ability. We sent him for a week to North Bangkok United FC and he ended up staying for 3 weeks. The coach really liked him and they were close to signing but felt he was too young to be away from his home, but offered him to come back again for the 2021 season.

Jiwon Ha (Korea) Trial KBU FC T3 2020 season

Jiwon Ha has some experience in K2 and K3 in Korea and had been on trial with LA Galaxy reserve team. He decided he wanted to test himself in Thailand and we could see his ability and organised a number of trials for him. He was made a couple of offers but not at clubs or for the salary he wanted to play for so he headed back to Korea. We expect him back again in 2021.

Mamadou Fofana (France) Signed Bangkok FC T3 2019 season

Mamadou Fofana from France had been playing in the lower leagues in Europe for a number of years. Getting towards the end of his career he decided he wanted to play in Asia. We could straight away his quality and knowledge of the game and after a two day trial he was signed to Bangkok FC, helping them to a 5th place finish.

Craig Shearer (Australia) Trial Bangkok FC T3 2019 season

Australia has very few full time professional football clubs and so Craig made the decision to come and try to get established in Thailand. He scored a hat trick in one of our showcase games and off the back of that got a trial at Bangkok FC who ended up going with a more experienced player. Craig did get an offer from a T4 club but declined.

Jonny Campbell (America) signed Phnom Penh Crown MCL 2018 season

Jonny Campbell had just finished a season in T3 in Thailand we he came to us looking for his next move. After watching him closely and getting a call from Phnom Penh Crown FC in Cambodia we sent Jonny to trial there. He was signed a week later and has since moved on to Stay Rieng also in Cambodia where he won the league in 2019.

Jorrin John (England) signed Phnom Penh Crown MCL 2018 season

Jorrin John had two successful season playing in Thailand in 2012 and 2013. He went back to Europe but in 2018 decided he wanted to play in Asia again. He signed up with us and we sent him to Phnom Penh Crown FC who signed him immediately. He unfortunately got injured 5 games into the season after a promising start.
